Year of the Devil is a weird and entertaining combination of fiction, documentary and fantasy, focusing on Jan Holman – a former alcoholic and documentary filmmaker.

The film is based on a true story of Jaromír Nohavica, playing a fictional version of himself. The film’s theme and humour remind of the iconic musical pseudo-documentary This Is Spinal Tap, and in Karlovy Vary it won the Crystal Globe for best film.

Year of the Devil is scheduled for today, Tuesday, 15 November at 8pm, Docucinema KIC.
