Sold out screenings of films from the main competition program, ten percent more pre-sale tickets, queues at the tills, and huge interest – not only for evening, but also morning and afternoon screenings at a number of locations on both banks of Sava have marked the beginning of the 17th ZFF.

The season of sold out tickets was opened by the first film from the Together Again program, Jojo Rabbit, and in the first three days all five screenings of films from the main competition program in Tuškanac Cinema were sold out as well. We are extremely happy the audience was numerous and interested on Friday and Saturday when they welcomed directors Ena Sendijarević and Ivana Mladenović at screenings of their debut films Take Me Somewhere Nice and Ivana the Terrible, and the excellent run was continued by Monos, Beanpole, and De Patrick.

This year’s numbers and questions which continue to stream into our inboxes – are there any more tickets and will this be available in cinemas after ZFF – prove once again that the Zagreb audience is hungry for new quality films and is not ready to give up the ritual of watching films together in the cinema.
