Retrospective of Andreas Dresen Begins at Goethe Institute
Starting this Wednesday, Goethe Institute is hosting a retrospective of films by Andreas Dresen, one of the greatest living German director and this year’s ZFF jury member, taking place each Wednesday (ending on 14 December) at 6pm. The first in the series will be Cloud 9, with the director arriving to present the film in person.
Cloud 9 premiered in Cannes in 2008 and won the Coup de Coeur jury award in Un Certain Regard. The film was also nominated for EFA in the best actress and best director category, and at German Film Awards in 2009 it won the best actress and best director awards and a bronze for best film.
